For teachers and educators
This glossary has been published to serve as a companion for teachers and students in implementing the Amazigh language, and as a guide to help students recognize words found in school textbooks, educational guides, and reference materials whenever words or their spellings are presented to them.
We have collected the entries of this glossary from the primary education Amazigh language implementation textbooks. It is neither a general glossary of the Amazigh language, nor is it intended to contain every single word in Amazigh; rather, it aims to contain the selection of vocabulary encountered by students in their early school years, gathering them into a single comprehensive reference book.
We requested that words, expressions, and entries be presented just as the student encounters them in their books—such as nouns, verbs, functional phrases, and educational expressions—so that the student can look up a word in the glossary along with the illustration just as they know it from their textbook. We have also added plurals for many words to help expand the student's known vocabulary.
The glossary is designed so that the learner can use it to learn, recognize vocabulary starting from what they already know, and find the words they need in everyday life in general. To achieve this, we have gathered the vocabulary of primary education as a whole into a single book and added illustrations depicting the learner's world, such as the human body, clothing, school maps, the environment, animals, sports, colors, and numbers.
